Jaime works at the intersection of technology and social movements with a focus on creating autonomous spaces for learning about information technology, free software, and digital security. As part of May First staff, Jaime provides technical support directly to members, assists with system administration and coordinates member participation in the Technology Infrastructure and Services program team. He values rotating leadership as community service, collective work and responsibility, and consensus building.
As part of the May First Board of the Directors I hope to work towards and prioritize initiatives that:
* Help build collaboration among May First members.
* Improve our technology infrastructure and support to better serve our members' movement organizing needs
* Support technical and political capacity building for movement activists and or organizers who are systematically marginalized from technology
* Directly engage with technologists and the technology sector as a space for political organizing and highlight the transversal role information technology now plays in organizing efforts across almost all social movements
